Texas A&M AgriLife Research in Temple, Texas is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate with expertise in crop modeling, remote sensing, and geospatial technologies to support research on modelling crop growth, water use, and carbon/nitrogen cycling.

The successful candidate will lead field experiments, oversee data collection, develop and refine crop models, and apply AI approaches for decision support, with opportunities to publish and compete for grants.

Qualifications

• PhD in Agronomy, Geosciences, Environmental sciences, or closely related discipline.
• Strong background in agricultural remote sensing.
• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Lead field research projects from experimental design to data dissemination.
• Manage field experiments and coordinate ground-truth data collection.
• Develop and refine crop models to improve prediction accuracy.
• Apply machine learning and AI to crop management and decision-support systems.
• Prepare manuscripts and contribute to grant proposals.
