Job summary

The Sooner Additive Manufacturing Laboratory (SAML) at the University of Oklahoma seeks postdoctoral research associates to lead pioneering research in additive manufacturing. Successful candidates join an interdisciplinary team, pursuing high-impact federally funded and industry-partnered projects, with mentorship guiding proposal writing, project management, and publishing results.

Positions are for an initial one-year appointment, with annual renewal possible for up to three years based on

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, industrial engineering, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in one of the described research areas.
• Experience with additive manufacturing technology and materials characterization techniques.
• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
