Department Summary

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering is dedicated to providing a high-quality educational experience through excellence and innovation in teaching, research, and scholarly activity. Position Overview

This position is required to work closely with UNT faculty colleagues, and researchers at sponsoring agencies on high performance metallic materials. The position would require strong background in microstructure, mechanical properties, understanding of advanced solid state processing of metallic materials. Experience with solid state additive manufacturing of aluminum alloys is essential.

PhD in Materials Science and Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

Detailed publications on solid state additive manufacturing of aluminum alloys and deformation mechanisms. Excellent skills in relating microstructure to mechanical properties.
