Job summary

OpenMinds Mental Health Services is seeking a Postdoctoral Psychologist to perform psychological and psychoeducational assessments with adolescents and young adults, ages 5–25, in Santa Barbara. Potential to manage a small therapy caseload and collaborate with a supportive team under two licensed psychologists.

The role emphasizes reporting accuracy, ethical practice, and ongoing professional development within a nonprofit outpatient clinic serving youth and families.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology.
• Registration with the Board of Psychology as a Psychological Associate is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological and psychoeducational assessments with adolescents and young adults.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of assessment protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and providers to support client well-being.
• Participate in agency meetings, trainings, consultations, and supervision.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in our EHR system, ensuring ethical and legal compliance.
• Work with best practices in an insurance-based clinic.
• Optional: provide evidence-based individual therapy to a caseload of 5–10 patients.
• Complete 4–6 evaluations per month.
• Commit to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and strong work ethic.
