Qualifications

• PhD in microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, animal science, veterinary science, or related field.
• Peer-reviewed publications indicating molecular biology/microbiology experience.
• Experience with nucleic acid extraction, PCR detection, and sequencing.
• Ability to design experiments and analyze data with statistics.
• Strong scientific writing and ability to draft manuscripts with limited supervision.
• Ability to manage concurrent experiments and coordinate with teams.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.

Responsabilités

• Design and conduct molecular biology experiments addressing defined objectives.
• Develop and validate molecular detection assays (qPCR, sequencing).
• Characterize microbial communities and antimicrobial resistance in various samples.
• Plan and coordinate amplicon, metagenomic, and whole genome sequencing studies with sequencing/bioinformatics staff.
• Analyze data with statistics in R or Python; prepare figures and tables for publication.
• Lead manuscript and technical report writing; contribute to funding proposals.
• Maintain detailed records and operate lab instrumentation.
• Train/mentor students and staff; coordinate with collaborators.
• Present findings at meetings and conferences.
