Job summary

Iowa State University’s W.M. Keck Metabolomics Research Lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Metabolomics to develop and execute advanced metabolomics workflows. You will work with Orbitrap, LC-MS, and GC-MS platforms, collaborating with faculty and external researchers to design experiments and analyze complex datasets.

The role includes training users, preparing scientific reports, and presenting findings at conferences. A Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• Experience with mass spectrometry instrumentation, software platforms, and data analysis workflows.
• Research experience in non-targeted metabolomics, global metabolomics, lipidomics, or related fields, including experimental design and data analysis.
• Experience analyzing high-resolution LC-MS/MS data from Orbitrap or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement metabolomics workflows for diverse research projects.
• Operate, maintain, and train users on analytical instrumentation (Orbitrap, LC-MS, GC-MS).
• Design experiments, acquire and analyze data, interpret complex datasets, and prepare reports.
• Contribute to publications and present findings at conferences.
