Job summary

Children’s Mercy invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellow position focusing on computational genomics and pangenomics within GA4K. The role aims to diagnose rare pediatric disease using genome sequencing, develop algorithms on personalized genomes, and advance epigenomic analyses.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MD or related doctoral level degree in a relevant discipline and 1-2 years experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct original research in data science to improve child health.
• Analyze research data.
• Report research results.
• Attend/participate in educational programs, meetings and rounds.
• Mentor graduate students.
• Carry out laboratory research in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, genomics and neuroscience.
• Analyze research data.
