Boehringer Ingelheim in Ridgefield, CT seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Tumor Immune Regulation Group to develop next-generation human tumor ecosystem models and dissect immune suppression in the tumor microenvironment.

The role involves independent research under a PI, collaboration across disciplines, and publication of first-author work; fellowships are three years with potential extension. The position includes a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• PhD in tumor immunology, cancer biology, or related field.
• Strong publication record demonstrating independence, creativity, and innovation.
• Experience with tumor-immune co-cultures and 3D/ex vivo models.
• Proficiency with CRISPR-based perturbations.
• Ability to design and execute complex research projects.

Responsabilités

• Design and conduct independent research on mechanisms of immune suppression in human tumors.
• Develop advanced multicellular co-culture systems with primary human immune cells and tumor-derived cells.
• Establish ex vivo tumor models using patient-derived materials.
• Apply genetic perturbation techniques, including CRISPR-based approaches.
• Integrate multi-omic readouts to characterize immune suppressive mechanisms.
• Collaborate with researchers within and outside Boehringer Ingelheim.
• Publish first-author manuscripts and defend work to the department.
