Job summary

American Academy of Sleep Medicine seeks a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to lead translational projects at the intersection of sleep, circadian biology, and perioperative brain health. You will drive data science analyses on large clinical datasets, develop actigraphy/EEG protocols, and collaborate across neuroscience, clinical, and data science teams.

The role includes mentorship, manuscript and grant preparation, and opportunities to advance independent research within a dynamic perioperative

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field with neuroscience focus.
• Strong programming in R; MATLAB and/or Python; SAS and/or SPSS preferred.
• Peer-reviewed publications in neuroscience or data science.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex statistical analyses and predictive modeling on perioperative datasets.
• Develop actigraphy and EEG protocols and algorithms for patient data.
• Perform longitudinal analyses of sleep and circadian disruptions in surgical populations.
• Integrate clinical, biomarker, and neurocognitive data with multivariate analyses.
• Design computational approaches for neuroimaging and electrophysiology data.
• Manage data via REDCap and other clinical databases; create visualizations and dashboards.
• Coordinate research protocols, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise staff.
• Lead manuscript preparation and contribute to grant applications; present findings.
