The Verma Lab in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine is recruiting for a postdoctoral research associate specializing in immunology, cancer biology and/or radiation biology. The role involves CRISPR screening, antibody discovery and protein engineering to design novel combination immunotherapies with radiation for metastatic cancer.

Competenze

• MD or PhD in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
• No experience required.
• PhD in Cancer Biology or related field is desired.

Mansioni

• Designs and performs experiments in CRISPR gene editing and CRISPR screening.
• Breeds and cares for laboratory mice.
• Organizes research plan and designs, executes, troubleshoots experiments.
• Maintains lab notebook in electronic format (Lab Archives).
• Meets with PI regularly and reports results.
• Maintains equipment and performs preventive maintenance.
• Keeps environment safe and compliant with regulations.
• Prepares manuscripts under PI supervision and assists with grant applications.
• Keeps information confidential and updates knowledge through education and meetings.
• Mentors technicians and trainees in lab techniques.
