Job summary

The University of Delaware invites applications for multiple Postdoctoral Fellow positions as part of the NSF AI Institute for Human-AI Cooperation (HAIC). Fellows will collaborate across UD, Penn, and partner institutions, contributing to foundational and applied AI research.

They will work within three thematic groups focusing on multimodal data, sequential decision making with digital twins, and human-AI symbiosis, with access to GRASP Lab and HPC resources.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree expected by early 2027 in a relevant STEM field.
• Excellent oral and written communication, across technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical reasoning.
• Ability to work with researchers at varying experience levels.
• Ability to organize a research project and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Participate as an integral member of a high‑tech, mission‑driven research team.
• Assist in data collection, dataset preparation, software implementation, and documentation.
• Conduct computational and human subjects experiments within the project scope.
• Contribute to manuscript preparation and presentations for conferences and journals.
• Prepare technical reports detailing goals, milestones and outcomes.
• Foster collaborations and participate in grant writing and dissemination.
• Provide mentoring and support to junior researchers.
