UW-Whitewater seeks a postdoctoral fellow in developmental biology, cell biology, physiology, or molecular genetics to begin August 2026 in a NSF-funded project on circadian gene regulation of metabolism. The role combines 75% research with 25% teaching/mentoring undergraduates.

Responsibilities include introductory biology teaching, mentoring, and assisting in grant proposals, publications, and resource sharing; prior RNA-Seq/bioinformatics experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Biology required; ABD candidates may apply but degree must be completed by Aug 2026.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate biology is required.
  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Teach introductory biology lectures and lab courses.
  • Support PI's grant research and publish results.
  • Mentor undergraduate research students and contribute to grant proposals.
