Job summary

Qualifications

PhD in Entomology or related field is required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Diverse IPM research experience in agricultural settings is desired.
Experience researching plant-insect interactions, insecticides, and insect ecology is preferred.
Ability to design experiments, collect and analyze data, and publish/present results.

Responsibilities

Oversee field, greenhouse, and laboratory research on management of Heliococcus novovillei in sugarcane.
Travel to research field sites across Louisiana.
Design experiments, collect and analyze data, and publish results.
Supervise and mentor summer field assistants and assist graduate student research.
Conduct toxicological assays, field demonstration trials, and use remote sensing.
