Job summary

The University of Minnesota invites applications for a 100% time postdoctoral associate position in the SAGE Lab, within the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering in the Twin Cities. The role focuses on data-analysis, algorithm development, modeling, and translating measurements into decision-support tools for complex systems.

The appointment is for one year with possible extension based on performance and funding.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong quantitative data-analysis and scientific-programming skills using Python, MATLAB, or R.

Responsibilities

• 65% Research and technical development: develop data-science, ML, deep-learning methods for complex datasets and multimodal sources.
• 25% Proposal development, scientific writing, and publication: draft concepts, aims, and technical plans for grants and reports.
• 10% Lab participation, collaboration, mentoring, and dissemination: participate in lab activities and mentor students.
