Job summary

Lund University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to advance X-ray diffraction–computed tomography (XRD-CT) at the DanMAX beamline within the MAX IV ecosystem. The role focuses on machine development, data analysis, and battery-related research in a collaborative, cross-beamline setting.

The successful candidate will lead hardware and software development, participate in experiments, and contribute to publications while working in a dynamic team environment across LU and MAX IV strengths.

Qualifications

• PhD in chemistry, physics, engineering or closely related field.
• Proven experience with X-ray imaging/diffraction techniques (XRD-CT, 3D-XRD, µ/nanoCT, STXM or similar).
• Experience in data analysis programming (e.g., Python).
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of XRD-CT at the DanMAX beamline in collaboration with LU solid mechanics group.
• Participate scientifically and technically within the BatMAX project and Battery Matrix.
• Engage in cross-beamline projects within BATMAX and MAX IV.
