Job summary

The Accorsi Lab at the University of California, Davis is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to investigate visual system development and regeneration using a novel model organism, the Pomacea canaliculata. You will design and perform experiments, analyze data, and contribute to publications and grant applications.

Applicants should have a strong background in developmental, regenerative, molecular and/or cellular biology, with experience in high-throughput datasets advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

• Strong background in developmental, regenerative, molecular and/or cellular biology.
• Experience with high-throughput datasets is advantageous but not required.
• PhD in a relevant field is expected for a postdoctoral position.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments and analyze data independently or collaboratively.
• Stay current with relevant literature in the field.
• Clearly communicate ideas in lab meetings, conferences and publications.
• Contribute to mentoring and training of junior lab members.
• Assist with laboratory maintenance and animal husbandry.
• Have open and honest conversations with the PI and other lab members.
