A leading research institution in Los Angeles is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position in tropical meteorology. The successful applicant will work on key processes, predictability, and climate modeling related to tropical atmospheric variability. A recent Ph.D. in a relevant field and a strong background in climate dynamics are required. This position offers the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years.

Qualifications

• Recent Ph.D. in atmospheric or ocean sciences or a closely related field.
• Strong background in tropical meteorology and climate dynamics.
• Experience with climate modeling and application of reanalysis and satellite datasets desirable.
