Job summary

The University of California Washington, D.C. Center for the Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation (IGCC) invites applications for up to six postdoctoral scholar positions in Technology and International Security. Fellows conduct research at the intersection of technology, national security, and the global security environment, with a 24‑month term in DC.

Applicants must have or expect a Ph.D. by September 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• PhD in social sciences, humanities, physical or natural sciences, engineering or computer sciences or other technical fields.
• ABD (all but dissertation) candidates may apply.
• Applicants should expect to have a PhD by Sept 1, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Be in residence in Washington, D.C. for the duration of the 24‑month fellowship.
• Dedicate the majority of time to research and produce a major publication.
• Regularly participate in weekly seminars, research colloquia, and travel as needed.
