Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Postdoctoral Scientist for Multimodal Representation Learning in Predictive Biology. Based in Cambridge, MA (preferred) or other U.S./EU sites, you will advance AI/ML methods for drug discovery and integrate high-content and multi-omics data.

This two-year fixed-term role emphasizes impactful, publishable research and collaboration across teams. You will develop models for heterogeneity analysis of perturbed cellular systems, communicate results

Qualifications

• PhD completed within the last 3 years or within the next 6 months.
• Strong technical expertise in AI/ML for biological applications and publications in AI/ML venues.
• Experience with foundation models and multimodal modeling of biological data (Cell Painting, multi-omics).
• Proficiency with Python and AI frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Responsabilités

• Conceive, design, develop, implement and validate AI/ML solutions for drug discovery using multimodal data.
• Analyze and extract biological insights from large, high-dimensional data (imaging, phenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics).
• Develop and evaluate computer vision solutions to quantify heterogeneity of perturbed cells.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance algorithms and product development.
• Communicate complex methodologies and present findings to diverse audiences.
• Maintain documentation and code repositories; draft manuscripts for dissemination.
