UT-Battelle invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to advance quantum‑HPC (QHPC) architectures and software at ORNL. Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field with strong research track record
• Strong background in computer architecture, HPC, quantum computing systems, or related areas
• Experience with architectural modeling, simulation, prototyping, or performance analysis
• Proficient in C/C++ and Python for research software development

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate architectural models, simulators, and performance modeling frameworks for QHPC systems
• Analyze quantum modalities and their integration with HPC using representative scientific workloads
• Advance quantum runtime technologies for heterogeneous QHPC distributed systems
• Co-design hardware, software, and applications across quantum and classical resources
