Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a Postdoctoral Scholar in Neuroscience Precision Measures to be based in San Diego, CA or Spring House, PA. The role focuses on multimodal neuroimaging to support clinical diagnosis and biomarker modeling in neurodegenerative disease.

The successful candidate will leverage MRI to develop predictive models combining biomarkers, PET, and MRI, with experience in matrixed environments and translational biomarker deployment in clinical trials.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biomedical Science, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong record of imaging-related publications and scientific writing.
• Expertise in at least one MRI modality (e.g., structural MRI, diffusion, fMRI, quantitative MRI).
• Demonstrated ability to process data at scale (pipeline development; reproducible workflows).
• Expertise in multivariate modeling and/or deep learning applied to neuroimaging/biomarkers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply multimodal MRI measures to support clinical and cognitive diagnosis, disease staging, and longitudinal progression modeling.
• Identify and quantify imaging correlates of pathology present in neurodegenerative diseases
• Build multivariate models that integrate MRI + PET + fluid biomarkers to improve predictive performance, robustness, and biological interpretability.
• Implement hands-on, scalable pipelines for data onboarding, quality control, processing, and feature engineering across large datasets.
• Communicate results through internal and external presentations and publications.
