Job summary

UCLA CASIT is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar in Los Angeles to advance AI research across multimodal health data including wearables, imaging, speech, and clinical records. You will work with clinicians and engineers to develop AI-powered tools for digital biomarkers, remote monitoring, and intelligent surgical systems.

PhD conferred by start date.
Strong publication record in AI/ML/ digital health or biomedical engineering.
Experience with high-dimensional biomedical datasets.
Strong programming and data-analysis skills in Python and ML frameworks.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and validate AI and digital health research projects from question to prototype.
Develop ML, DL, multimodal, CV, time-series, or foundation-model approaches for biomedical data.
Build and curate multimodal datasets and analysis pipelines with IRB/HIPAA compliance.
Publish in AI, biomedical engineering, digital health venues; contribute to grants.
Mentor trainees and collaborate with clinicians, engineers, researchers, and industry partners.
