The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education is offering a postdoctoral research opportunity at USDA ARS in Wyndmoor, PA, focusing on development of novel detection methods for foodborne pathogenic bacteria. This full-time appointment is at the CIFP Research Unit with a rolling review and a stipend aligned to degree level.

Anticipated start date is December 1, 2026, with an initial one-year appointment that can be renewed.

Formación

• Doctoral degree or in progress in relevant fields required.
• Experience with basic molecular techniques preferred.
• Knowledge of foodborne pathogens and bacterial detection methods beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Engage in R&D focused on development of detection methods for foodborne pathogenic bacteria.
• Contribute to research in molecular microbiology, biochemistry and bioinformatics as needed.
• Participate in learning objectives including virulence assays and data analysis.
