Job summary

The Rasgon lab at The Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA is hiring multiple Postdoctoral Scholars to advance projects in the molecular biology of arthropods, including transgenic manipulation and gene transduction technologies. Ideal candidates have a Ph.D.

in a relevant field and experience in cloning, CRISPR, PCR, protein expression, and working with BSL2/BSL3 pathogens; experience with mosquitoes is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field is required and evidence of completion prior to the effective date of hire.
• Experience in one or more of the listed areas (cloning, CRISPR, PCR, protein work, bioinformatics, virology).
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Design experiments and conduct laboratory research.
• Prepare proposals and publications.
• Train graduate students, undergraduate students, and technical staff.
