Job summary

The Benitez Ponce laboratory at Ohio State University is seeking a Post Doctoral Researcher to conduct microbiology-focused research on decomposition of organic substrates for controlled environment agriculture. Qualifications

• PhD in Microbiology / Plant Pathology or related field.
• Experience with molecular tools (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR) in microbial ecology.
• Familiarity with plant production systems and controlled environment agriculture is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs and sets up greenhouse and laboratory experiments.
• Samples, processes data, and generates results; presents findings.
• Curates data, analyzes datasets, and assists in manuscript preparation for publication.
• Mentors graduate/undergraduate students and assists collaborators.
