Job summary

HireLifeScience seeks a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher in the Precision Genetics group to develop scalable computational methods for biobank-scale data analysis and biomarker discovery. You will integrate human genetics, proteomics, EHR, and other datasets to uncover causal gene-pathway-disease relationships and support translational research across therapeutic areas.

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Statistical Genetics, Genetic Epidemiology, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with large-scale biobank/genetic datasets (e.g., UK Biobank, All of Us, FinnGen).
• Experience analyzing omics datasets (WGS, genotyping, transcriptomics, proteomics).
• Proficient in statistical genetics methods (GWAS, QTL mapping, polygenic scores).
• Proficient in R and/or Python for data analysis.
• Experience with cloud platforms or HPC for parallel computing.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable pipelines for integrating genetics, proteomics, EHR, and other biomedical data for target and biomarker discovery.
• Develop statistical genetics methods for causal modeling using genetics, genomics, and perturbation datasets.
• Analyze biobank-scale datasets and interpret associations and biomarker signals.
• Track and pilot cutting-edge methods in statistical genetics and computational biology.
• Collaborate with wet-lab scientists and cross-functional computational teams.
• Communicate findings through publications and presentations within the department and across functions.
