Job summary

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in immunology, microbiology, or related fields.
  • Experience with RNA biology and molecular biology; publication record preferred.
  • Familiarity with therapeutic oligonucleotide design and validation is desirable.
  • Experience with computational and statistical methods in programming languages is desired but not required.
  • Ability to learn new research skills and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the PI to execute experiments for independent research projects. Maintain cell and organoid cultures. Perform cell-based assays, genetic manipulations and other experimental procedures; develop protocols and troubleshoot challenges.
  • Accurately document procedures and data; analyze data; interpret findings and relate to literature; help develop/test hypotheses.
  • Grant writing: assist in writing grants for laboratory funding at intra- and extramural levels.
  • Participate in seminars, meetings, manuscript drafting, and presenting work at conferences.
