Kansas State University’s Digital Agronomy Research Team (DART) invites applications for a Fellow (Post Doc) to advance interdisciplinary research in precision agriculture, agricultural water management, remote sensing, and agroecosystem modeling. Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant field; strong research background in agricultural water management or related areas.
• Experience with quantitative analysis of environmental or geospatial data.
• Proven ability in scientific programming and computational modeling.
• Demonstrated scholarly output and effective scientific communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research in precision agriculture, water management, remote sensing, and agroecosystem modeling.
• Develop approaches to quantify evapotranspiration, crop water use, stress, and water-use efficiency.
• Integrate field observations with satellite, UAV remote sensing, weather, soil moisture, and other geospatial datasets using modeling approaches.
• Develop reproducible workflows using Python, R, Google Earth Engine, GIS, and related tools; participate in data collection and QA/QC.
• Independently analyze results and contribute to manuscripts, reports, and presentations.
• Support coordination of externally funded multidisciplinary projects.
• Coordinate datasets, timelines, milestones, and deliverables among collaborators and partners.
• Assist PI with progress reports and technical deliverables.
