Job summary

Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the BioMedical Engineering and Imaging Institute. We pursue nanomedicine and nuclear imaging probes for organ transplant, cancer, and cardiovascular disease.

The ideal candidate has a Ph.D. in organic chemistry with radiochemistry experience and an interest in immunotherapy and immuno-PET imaging. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• PhD in organic chemistry or a comparable discipline.
• Profound experience in analytical techniques (NMR, HPLC, MS, TEM, UV-Vis).
• Excellent English communication and writing skills.
• Team player with collaborative mindset; experience in nanomedicine and immunology desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and employ novel small molecule drugs and nanotherapeutics for immunotherapy.
• Perform radiosyntheses to develop immuno-PET imaging probes.
• Analyze compounds with a wide range of analytical techniques.
• Publish results and present findings at seminars.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team of chemists, immunologists, clinicians and imaging specialists.
