Job summary

The Schmiedel Laboratory at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology seeks a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team to explore the intersection of genetics, immunology, and functional genomics.

Our research focuses on elucidating the regulatory mechanisms that control gene expression in human immune cells to understand how genetic variation contributes to complex immune-mediated diseases.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in Immunology, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field.
• Strong analytical and writing skills; track record of publications.
• Experience with human immunology, cell biology, and genomics technologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate regulatory mechanisms controlling gene expression in human immune cells.
• Integrate single-cell multi-omics with functional assays using human and mouse models.
• Collaborate across 팀 and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
