Job summary

University of Arizona invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Steward Observatory. The role focuses on polarimetry and high contrast imaging, with opportunities to lead independent research and apply for telescope time as PI.

Qualifications

• PhD in Astronomy, Physics, Astrophysics, or related field completed by hire.
• Experience in high contrast imaging or polarimetry is a plus.
• Strong collaboration and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an independent research agenda in high contrast imaging and polarimetry.
• Disseminate work via publications and presentations; engage in public outreach opportunities.
• Collaborate with faculty and scholars; organize meetings and supervise students.
• Additional duties as assigned.
