Job summary
Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks an agile postdoctoral researcher to lead model and simulation development for high-velocity physics, Fury and HOSS, grounded in laboratory measurements and experimental data. You will work with experimentalists and modelers to connect measurements to Fury and HOSS simulations for national security applications.
You will develop and validate physics-based models, analyze data and simulation outputs, and publish results in peer-reviewed journals while
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Atmospheric or Earth System Science, Materials Science, or related STEM field.
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate physics-based models and simulations.
- Analyze measurements and simulation outputs; compare with experiments.
- Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
- Collaborate independently and within a multidisciplinary LANL team.
