Job summary

H Net, through the University of Michigan's Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia, is seeking a postdoctoral fellow specializing in modern Ukraine and its neighboring regions. This two-year fellowship offers an annual salary of $64,000 with additional research funding and includes teaching responsibilities at the University.

Ideal candidates will have a PhD completed after January 2025, focusing on research objectives related to Ukraine. Fellowship applications are due by October 15, 2026, and successful applicants will receive further information by December 2026.

Qualifications

• PhD must be obtained no earlier than January 1, 2025.
• Teaching experience and research proposals relevant to Ukraine and neighboring areas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research focused on modern/contemporary Ukraine and related areas.
• Teach one course per year during the fellowship.
• Participate in center events and committees.
