Job summary

UTHealth Houston’s Li Lab in the Department of Pediatrics invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellow. The position focuses on craniofacial development using mouse models, genomics, machine learning, and single-cell technologies.

The role encompasses laboratory experiments and computational analysis, including designing studies, interpreting data, and contributing to publications and grant applications. A PhD in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• PhD in developmental biology, genetics, molecular and cellular biology, bioengineering, or related field.
• Experience with mouse models, organoid culture, and/or microinjection preferred.
• Strong analytical and computational skills encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct experiments, analyze data, and prepare publications describing results.
• Mentor lab personnel and trainees, including graduate students.
• Read and evaluate literature to inform project direction.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
• Write and contribute to grant applications.
