Job summary
Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN, seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to advance biopolymer-derived ionic materials and interfaces. Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant discipline completed within the last 5 years.
- Experience in synthesis, modification, processing, or characterization of polymers, biopolymers, soft materials, or related functional materials.
- Experience designing and conducting laboratory experiments and analyzing quantitative data.
Responsibilities
- Design, synthesize, modify, and process biopolymer-derived ionic materials and interfaces.
- Investigate effects of molecular interactions and hierarchical structure on materials.
- Develop experimental approaches linking bulk and interfacial structure to transport.
- Apply neutron techniques including SANS, reflectometry, QENS, and imaging.
