Job summary

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computational neuroscience, neuroscience, computer science, hearing science, psychology, applied mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong research skills and experience with quantitative data analysis and statistical methods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative, interdisciplinary research teams and with diverse participant populations.
• Experience in computational programming, modeling or simulation, auditory neuroscience, cochlear implants, electrophysiology, psychophysics, or speech perception research (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Pursue specialized research training in the AEP Laboratory.
• Conduct electrophysiological recordings from auditory nerve pathways.
• Contribute to computational model development and software tools.
• Collect and analyze experimental data; interpret results.
• Prepare manuscripts, conference presentations, and grant applications.
