Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar - Research Associate to conduct research on protein post-translational modifications, antibody engineering, and preclinical design of cancer therapeutics. You will join Dr.

Yong (Tiger) Zhang’s laboratory in USC Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Strong background in chemistry or chemical biology is preferred, with experience in organic synthesis or medicinal chemistry and cell culture.

Qualifications

• Strong background in chemistry or chemical biology is preferred.
• Research experience in organic synthesis or medicinal chemistry is required.
• Knowledge of cell culturing and protein expression and purification is a plus.
• The individual should be highly self-motivated and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on protein post-translational modifications, antibody engineering, and preclinical design of chemotherapeutic and immunotherapeutic agents.
• Collaborate with the USC Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences team on project milestones.
• Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at seminars.
