Purdue University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate focusing on AI, LLMs, multimodal data, foundation models, and agentic AI across the Purdue University College of Pharmacy (Indianapolis) and Indiana University School of Medicine. The fellow will collaborate with Regenstrief Institute investigators to advance biomedical discovery and precision health.

This role targets advanced training and leadership opportunities at the intersection of AI and translational health data

Qualificações

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a related field such as computer science, AI, biomedical informatics, health data science, computational biology, biomedical engineering, or biostatistics.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and contribute to independent and collaborative AI research projects.
• Integrate and analyze large-scale multimodal biomedical datasets (EHRs, clinical text, imaging, omics).
• Design pretraining, fine-tuning, instruction-tuning, RAG, and multimodal learning pipelines.
• Develop AI-enabled methods for phenotyping, prediction, knowledge discovery, and research automation.
• Lead manuscript preparation and contribute to grant proposals and open‑source tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across clinical, biomedical, informatics, and AI research.
