Job summary

Steve & Kate's Camp in Elmsford, NY seeks field trip staff to supervise campers, support safety, and travel between stops by bus. You’ll lead with enthusiasm, foster inclusion, and partner with a team to deliver engaging activities while staying flexible and calm under pressure.

Requirements: minimum 18 years old, 2+ months working with camp-age children (1 year preferred), First Aid & CPR certification before day 1. Hourly pay $18.50–$21.00, benefits include sick time where required.

Responsibilities

• Chaperone field trips, make connections, and monitor safety and wellness.
• Travel by bus to multiple stops with kids.
• Actively supervising campers.
• Ensure compliance with Camp Policies.
• Reporting & recording details of notable concerns or injuries, and of injuries to campers, other staff members, or self.
• Keep track of camper allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Stand for long periods while supervising children and facilitating activities.
• Assist in camp setup and breakdown during move-in and out weekends.
• Participate in athletic games.

Field Trip Hours: 8:45 am - 5:45 pm (actual shifts may vary)

Hourly Wage: (determined using prior experience) The hourly rate for this position is $18.50 - $21.00 per hour.The pay range listed here is what Steve & Kate's Camp in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Job Responsibilities:

Staff members will be responsible for chaperoning field trips, making connections, and monitoring safety and wellness. You’ll travel by bus to multiple stops, all while having fun with kids.

Job Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age
• Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp–age children, with 1 year preferred, in either a professional, personal or volunteer setting.
• First Aid & CPR certified prior to Day 1 of Camp (some locations may require additional certifications)
