Job summary

VIVA USA Inc in Austin, TX seeks a lab engineer to perform power and performance characterization for pre-production CPU/GPU products. You will set up measurement platforms, execute test plans, and support lab debugging to ensure data accuracy.

Job description

Responsible for post-silicon lab activities related to performance and power characterization, optimization and validation of pre-production CPU/GPU products. The following is a list of key responsibilities that the candidate will assume: Setup power and performance measurement platforms, execute power and performance test plans, support lab debug activities.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Associate's or Bachelors degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science; 2-4 years of relevant work experience, Good understanding of PC system architecture, operating systems, drivers, ACPI and BIOS; Performance/Power/Thermal related lab work experience is an asset; Strong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to detail; Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Demonstrated experience working in data center and managing all aspects of lab infrastructure.
• Thorough understanding of server, workstation hardware architecture.
• Able to read and interpret board schematics.
• Demonstrated experience in PC/Server environment H/W and S/W setup and administration.
• Comfortable working in different operating system environments including Linux and Windows.
• Excellent Hardware and OS Debug, troubleshoot skills.
• Familiarity with Networking setup and configuration.
• Hands on experience with various storage solutions (NAS,SAN. etc.) and form factors.
• Experience with power supplies monitoring and sequencing.
• Proficient at documenting experimental results in a structured manner for ease of reference.
• Demonstrated ability to work with JIRA and Confluence project management and documentation tools.
• Team player with strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
