Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America in El Paso, TX is seeking a manufacturing operator to support a 24-hour operation. You will set up and run machinery, feed production lines, and stack boxes while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires basic experience, a high school diploma, and a commitment to overtime and weekends. You’ll work closely with teammates to improve productivity and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.

Setup, operation, feeding of machinery and stacking of boxes.

Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work.

May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.

Basic Qualifications

1 yrs previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.

High School Graduate or GED.

Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.

Able to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

Must be able to sit, stoop, and bend.

Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Must be able to work all shifts as the facility is a 24 hour operation.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary for position $19.19 per hour.
• Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: 1 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
