Job summary

Jobtailor in Florida is seeking a production associate to support cannabis material harvesting, weighing, and logging for transportation to dry rooms. You will defoliate plants as needed and maintain cleanliness and equipment according to SOPs and cGMP-like standards.

Candidates should be able to work hands-on daily, comply with safety rules, and collaborate with multiple departments to keep production efficient and compliant.

Qualifications

  • Must pass a comprehensive background screening.
  • Must have valid Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.
  • Minimum age 21 (18 in CT, PA and WV).
  • Knowledge of cannabis handling is a plus.
  • Ability to work hands-on with cannabis plant material daily.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in harvesting cannabis material while properly preparing, weighing, and logging cannabis material for transportation to the dry rooms.
  • Defoliation of the plants as needed.
  • Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking system.
  • Document testing results through reports and logs.
  • Input data into the company database.
  • Continual quality control assessment as product moves through the process.
  • Maintain and operate all equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Weigh and dispose of all plant waste material.
  • Ensure that material and/or products are processed and prepared following SOP and/or cGMP standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ensure all cannabis material and/or product are accounted for according to company policy and procedures.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag any excess plant material leaving the work areas clean.
  • Clean, sanitize, and store all equipment upon use.
  • Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform various manual cross‑department job duties as needed.
  • Ensure an overall positive, safe and clean environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of cannabis handling including harvesting, drying, curing, and trimming is a plus, but not required
  • Maintain good discipline and attendance standards
  • Ability to work hands on with cannabis plant material daily
  • Ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed/requested by the direct supervisor
  • Ability to work as a team unit while completing tasks and creating constructive collaboration with members of other departments
  • Create a proactive environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Self‑motivated, innovative, and a team player
  • Excellent time management skills, driving efficiency and productivity to ensure goals are consistently met while maintaining high quality finished product
  • Remain compliant with all legal and company regulations
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
