The Zhang lab seeks to hire a postdoctoral fellow whose duties will include:

• Conducting independent research in bioinformatics, comparative genomics, structural analysis, and machine learning
• Preparing manuscripts and grant proposals and contributing to securing external research funding
• Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students and contributing to a collaborative research environment
• Presenting research findings at national and international scientific conferences and publishing in leading peer-reviewed journals

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: protein bioinformatics, comparative genomics, evolutionary biology, machine learning, or structural bioinformatics
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in Unix/Linux environments
• Demonstrated record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary research team

Minimum Qualifications
