• Provide psychological assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, consultation, and trauma‑focused interventions across multiple care settings.

Summary

Under the guidance of supervising psychologist and chief psychologist, receives training in the evaluation, treatment, and study of mental/behavioral health conditions in hospital and other settings. Works with one or more faculty mentors and will have opportunities to develop or be involved in programmatic research. Interacts with, and where appropriate, supervises Psychiatry Residents, Psychology Interns, Medical Students and Doctoral Psychology Trainees.

Minimum Qualifications

• Formal Education Required:
• Psy.D. or Ph.D. in Psychology
• Experience & Training Required:
• Career interest in clinical or clinical health psychology practice
• Special interests one or more of the following is preferred: trauma, trauma research, clinical health psychology, program development, group therapy, and psychological testing.
• Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
• Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self‑respect and dignity
