Job summary

The Cook Children's Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Psychology Department provides a full-time employment position designed to give Post-Doctoral Fellows practical experience in the operations of a pediatric hospital outpatient behavioral health clinic. Fellows will conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and generate treatment recommendations for ages 0-18 with various medical and neurodevelopmental conditions.

The position requires a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Psy.D in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
• Training in child growth and development required.
• Prior pediatric setting experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with leadership development.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and customer relations.

Summary:

The Cook Children's Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Psychology Department provides a full-time employment position designed to give Post-Doctoral Fellows practical experience in the operations of a pediatric hospital outpatient behavioral health clinic. The position will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, generating treatment recommendations, and conducting evaluation feedback sessions. Fellows will be working with a broad range of patient populations, ranging in ages from 0-18 years with a multitude of medical diagnoses and neurodevelopmental and/or neurocognitive disorders.

Required Education:

• Ph.D. or Psy.D in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, and/or School Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
• Training in child growth and development required.
• Prior experience in pediatric setting preferred.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to develop outstanding leadership skills.
• Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and customer relations practice.

Certification/Licensure:

• Must obtain Texas Provisionally Licensed Psychologist while in this position.
