Molecular & Cellular Pharmacology has an exciting opportunity for a full time Post Doctoral Associate position. The incumbent performs scientific research and studies under the supervision of managing staff. Moreover, the Post Doctoral Associate promotes institutional recognition through literal contributions to the scientific community.

Core Job Functions

• Conduct research on specific areas of study as assigned.
• Prepare research reports and technical papers for publishing.
• Investigate the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and theories.
• Maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories.
• Develop advanced analytical models and systems and provide solutions and analyses to support strategic and tactical decisions.
• Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.

Department Specific Functions: The Kazanietz-Cooke lab is looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with demonstrated ability to lead a research project and work independently. Interested candidates should have a PhD and/or MD degree, preferentially no more than 2 years postdoctoral experience, and strong background in cellular and molecular biology. Preference in hiring will be given to candidates with an excellent publication record in cancer signaling. Experience in animal models of cancer is highly desirable.
