The Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis invites applications for an NIH-funded postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. Laura Snell.
The project focuses on CD4 T cell responses during chronic viral infections and cancer, using mouse models and cutting-edge technologies to uncover how immunotherapy reactivates exhausted T cells. We seek highly motivated candidates with a recent PhD in immunology, virology, or cell biology and a strong publication record, including at least

An NIH -funded postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Laura Snell at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. The laboratory studies the molecular and cellular regulation of T cell responses during chronic viral infections and cancers, and how immunotherapy works to restore these exhausted T cells. We have a particular interest in CD4 T cell responses during these chronic diseases. This includes understanding the nature of their helper functions, as well as the capacity of CD4 T cells for direct cytotoxic killing. This postdoctoral position will follow up on our previous work (Snell et al. Cell Reports 2016, Snell et al. Nat Immunol. 2021) and use mouse models and cutting-edge technologies to examine the mechanisms by which CD4 T cells accelerate the clearance of chronic viral infections and tumors.
IU School of Medicine is committed to being a welcoming campus community and we seek candidates whose research, teaching, and community engagement efforts contribute to robust learning and working environments for all students, staff, and faculty. We invite individuals who will join us in our mission to improve health equity and well-being for all throughout the state of Indiana.
