Job summary

Innovative Cleaning Services, LLC. is seeking a Grounds cleaner to manage janitorial tasks on construction sites in Cincinnati. You will collect waste, sort recyclables, and maintain clean, safe work areas according to safety rules.

This role requires diligence, daily routines, and attention to detail. You will follow established procedures to prevent spills and ensure timely waste disposal while supporting project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Collect garbage and debris from all areas of the property and dispose in approved receptacles.
• Sort cardboard, glass, pallets, aluminum cans and plastics into recycling containers.
• Perform these tasks three times daily during construction activity.
• Collect discarded building materials and sort into scrap piles near the recycling area.
• Check active work areas for chemical, oil and fuel spills; follow safety and hazardous materials procedures.
• Walk through each building twice daily collecting and disposing of garbage in waste canisters.
• Remove full waste bags and replace with new bags daily or on inspection.
• Dispose of waste bags in approved outdoor receptacles and replenish canisters as needed.
• Collect recyclable materials and sort into appropriate containers.
• Collect scrap building materials and sort into designated piles.
• Thoroughly clean surfaces to prepare finished appearance; clean floors and apply coatings/sealers/waxes.
• Clean plumbing, electrical fixtures, glass, countertops, cabinetry, trim, doors, appliances, shelves and closets.
• Remove items from cabinets and place in designated staging areas; manage waste accordingly.
• Clean around HVAC equipment and spaces around water heaters.
