We seek a highly talented and motivated Post Baccalaureate researcher with a strong background in chemical synthesis, especially nanomaterials synthesis, to join our cutting-edge team focused on the discovery, synthesis, and application of functional nanomaterials. What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements

• Strong chemical synthesis skills using air-sensitive handling techniques, such as Schlenk line and glovebox operations.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and effectively execute new laboratory skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
• Demonstrated ability to grow as a researcher and make significant contributions to ongoing research programs

Desired Qualifications

• Strong chemical synthesis skills applied to nanocrystal synthesis
• Direct experience with colloidal synthesis and characterization of semiconductor quantum dots, nanorods, nanoplatelets or nanowires
• Experience with nanocrystal self-assembly
• Experience with optical and structural characterization techniques
• Experience with planning and executing of complex, multistep reactions

The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.

The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
