Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) seeks post-bachelor interns for the Plutonium Facilities Engineering (PFE) Division. The Plutonium Facilities Engineering (PFE) Division of Los Alamos National Laboratory develops, maintains, and applies a diverse set of engineering capabilities to provide innovative engineering solutions that enable the Laboratory's scientific and national security mission. Successful candidates will be performing work in a Nuclear Facility.

• The Post-Bachelor's category offers college graduates the opportunity to participate in the UGS program after graduation.
• This category applies to those interns who have been awarded a bachelor's degree within the past three years but have not yet been accepted and enrolled in a graduate program. Eligibility requirements also include a 2.75+ GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and pass a drug test. Post-baccalaureate interns may remain in this category for up to two years.
• Pass a new employment drug test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

The mission of the Plutonium Facilities Engineering Team is to provide systems engineering support to operations and maintenance activities to the TA-55 Facility Operations Director (FOD) and to provide design and project engineering services in support of Facility Operations and the Plutonium Facility enduring mission. Additional Details

Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.

New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
